Renault celebrates Christmas in a unique way
Christmas 2019
As part of the Driving Smiles initiative, Renault decided to share the joy of Christmas with children in need. Through a social media post, Renault urged people to put a smile on the faces of these children. The users were asked to share their message using #ShareYourChristmas. For every share, Renault pledged to give a gift to these children.
After receiving a huge response, a few Renault representatives packed all the gifts in the Tribers and visited Kripa Foundation in Dharavi to make Christmas extra special for the little ones.
Renault urges people to #ParkTheBias this International Women’s Day
Women’s day 2019
As part of the Driving Smiles initiative, Renault celebrated International Women’s Day in a unique way by conducting a social experiment to expose the bias against women drivers. Male valet drivers were replaced by female valets at one of Mumbai’s premium five star hotels, and we recorded the reaction of visitors on seeing a female valet, with a hidden camera.
We reached out to them in the lobby, and heard what they felt about women drivers handling their cars. The experiment asked people to end the bias against female drivers and see them as equals even when on the road.
Renault reveals ‘Who are India’s worst drivers?’
Road sense campaign
Indian traffic sense or the lack of it has been a source of many social media memes. India ranks very high in traffic accidents and fatalities due to similar reasons. As part of the Driving Smiles initiative, Renault decided to conduct a social experiment to show a mirror to society and create awareness about the problem.
The experiment was conducted across Delhi and Mumbai, to find out who the worst drivers on the road are. Renault India installed cameras at different junctions in both the cities, to monitor traffic violations. The video footage revealed every citizen is equally responsible for the unfavourable traffic conditions in our country.

Tree plantation drive
Air pollution hits dangerously high levels the festive season. Recently, Delhi reported an Air Quality Index of 999, which is way above the normal limit. As part of the Driving Smiles initiative, Renault customers geared up for a special drive to celebrate nature on World Earth Day. In partnership with LBB India, they planted saplings to contribute their bit towards a greener tomorrow and participated in other exciting activities at the Kikar Lodge, Ropar.
International Women's Day
As a part of the Driving Smiles campaign, Renault organised a Driving Clinic on International Women’s Day, to break the stereotypical views about women drivers. We called on racers Sneha Sharma and Mira Erda to join us at Maxus Mall and show people their skills, while giving tips on better driving. They showcased various stunts that were captured on video and shared online, to highlight the issue amongst our followers and celebrate women for all they can be.
Renault Diwali Surprise
As a part of the Driving Smiles initiative, Renault decided to give a special surprise to some students of Delhi University who couldn’t go home for Diwali. An anchor visited the college campus and invited them to a Diwali party. They were driven to a grand celebration venue in Renault KWIDs. The students were extremely delighted to be part of this wonderful get-together and enjoyed the Diwali feast prepared specially for them.
Renault Christmas Surprise
As a part of the Driving Smiles initiative, Renault India decided to spread the festive cheer with children who are less fortunate. We had the Renault LODGY families open their hearts to the young boys from the orphanage, Our Lady’s Home in Mumbai. These children were treated to a day of fun and entertainment at a special carnival, featuring an array of fun activities including exciting rides, fun games, delicious food counters and much more.
Families got the opportunity to be a part of an event that enhanced the true Christmas spirit by gifting smiles and sharing happiness with those who need it the most.
Renault Diwali Drive
Renault India conducted an exclusive drive to a village to celebrate Diwali with the local community and share the true spirit of the festival. The experience began with Renault reaching out to its social media audience and encouraging their participation. It then had a convoy of all Renault flagship cars drive to Bheliv village in Raigad district, Maharashtra, with sweets, decorations and everything needed to make Diwali special for the people of the village.
The celebration included the exchange of light where the customers gave solar lanterns and received handmade diyas from the delighted villagers.
